When i was 11, up untill about 16,you couldnt keep me off the lanes.I competed in alot of junior tourneys here in Greenville.Alot in which were 2nd place finishes to Tommy Jones.I had dreams of going out on tour, but girls, cars, and other things including a bad injury to my right hand got me out of the game completly.
A few years ago my cousin and my brother asked me if id sub for them for a half season.I wasnt sure if my hand would hold up.Believe it or not,my game was as strong as it ever was, if not stronger. The pain is there, but the game is worth it !
Im a right handed, high rev player that loves to get left and swing it right when the pattern allows it.I had to drop to a 15 lb ball, due to the hand, so i needed some eqpt.Last year i picked up an Ebonite Xcel partical and a Columbia Backyard Bully.I took em down to Kenny Simard to drill. You may have saw him on PBA.com leading the points in southern region. We left the Xcel dull out of the box and drilled it to get into a roll early for wet conditions. The Backyard Bully we made to go long and really hook up on the backend.I find myself going to the Backyard Bully more often than not for the typical house shot.I havent bowled enough to get a good track on either of them but i realize they're out of date and im ready for something new in the bag I also need a good plastic ball for my single pin spares.I was thinking on some type of Brunswick Vis-A-ball for that.
